WHAT DO WITNESSES TO THE ASSASSINATION HAVE TO SAY?

There are still significant questions surrounding Robert Kennedy's death.  The autopsy by Dr. Thomas Noguchi clearly shows the fatal wound coming from behind him and from a distance of no more than 1-1.5 inches.  Dr. Noguchi has also substantiated this point in a personal interview conducted by telephone.  Questions were asked about the conflicting witness accounts and forensic evidence, particularly to the point that the witnesses do not put Sirhan behind RFK.  Why is the official version that Sirhan fired the fatal shot if he can be shown to have been standing in front of RFK?

Did Thane Eugene Cesar Actually Shoot RFK?

On March 27, 2012, a symposium was put together to examine the assassination of Robert Kennedy in a new light.

As a 17 year old busboy working at the Ambassador Hotel,  Juan Romero witnessed the assassination of Senator Robert Kennedy, coming to the aid of the fallen Senator as bullets were flying around the pantry.  He was immortalized in a famous photograph taken by LA Times photographer Boris Yaro.  On this March afternoon, when he visited Palo Alto High School, Mr. Romero made his first appearance at a school to discuss the events of June 5, 1968.  Teacher David Rapaport interviewed Mr. Romero who was accompanied by Rigo Chacon, former ABC reporter and friend.  Mr. Chacon recently accompanied Mr. Romero to Arlington Cemetery on what would have been Senator Kennedy's 85th birthday to come face to face with the memory of that day in a most powerful way. An LA Times reporter, Steve Lopez, has published a number of incredible follow up articles including photographs taken at the graveside which are quite moving indeed. These were shown as a backdrop to remarks made by Mr. Romero.  A filmed piece by Mr. Chacon on the 25th anniversary of RFK's death was played as an introduction.  This piece, provided courtesy of Mr. Chacon, presented a good backdrop for what Mr. Romero went through for those who had not yet familiar with the details of that day.  Also shot that June evening in 1968 was Paul Schrade of the United Auto Workers, a labor union director of RFK's campaign in California.  Mr. Schrade was connected via telephone to Mr. Romero at this event and the two interacted and spoke about the moment RFK was gunned down.  It is an incredible and historic few minutes to hear them re-unite and interact, especially as Mr. Schrade takes a few minutes to share his own ideas about what happened that day, which are extremely important to adjusting the historical record, something he deeply believes is inaccurate.  Mr. Romero's courage under fire is something worth attention and recognition.

Juan Romero participates in LAPD reconstruction.  How close to stand-in does the gun get?  Does it get to within several inches behind the right ear, as Coroner Thomas Noguchi stated?

IN THE AFTERMATH OF INTERVIEWING JUAN ROMERO
Questions That Remain in Uncovering The Facts Surrounding The Assassination of RFK

  • What do you think of Mr. Romero's role in the events of June 5th, 1968?
  • What do you think of Paul Schrade's main argument?
  • What do you think of Mr. Romero's responses to the questions being asked during the interview?
  • Why is there little to no effort to investigate the role of Thane Eugene Cesar in the killing?
  • How can the circumstances surrounding Thane Eugene Cesar's involvement in the killing be ignored?
  • How can a discrepancy between the autopsy and the official LAPD version of events be allowed to persist?
  • Will the historical paradigm be changed so that the evidence surrounding RFK's death might be re-examined?
  • Because it is clear Sirhan fired a gun during commission of a murder, he will not go free even if found not to have killed RFK.  Do you believe the argument that this is not an effort to free Sirhan, but to reveal evidence?
  • Are there witnesses that put Sirhan's hand 1-2 inches from RFK's head?  Powder burns reveal the shot fired from point blank range as the cause of death. What evidence shows Sirhan did the killing?
